JUNIOR PROVINCIAL TEAM PROGRAM

Members of this contingent are selected through a provincial qualifying tournament. The top qualifier from each division are provided with training, coaching and travel & accommodation support.

Travel
 Maximum of 8 athletes @ $300.00 each for travel expenses;
 Maximum of one (1) coach @ $300.00 each for travel expenses;
 Maximum of one (1) coach for accommodation for four night’s expenses (maximum);
 If an athlete chooses to drive to the event instead of flying, he/she will receive the equivalent of the lowest available airfare “to cover fuel and meals on the road expenses” up to a maximum of $300.00.
 If a coach chooses to drive to the event instead of flying he/she will receive the equivalent of the lowest available airfare “to cover fuel and meals on the road expenses” up to a maximum of $300.00.
 One coach will receive $25.00 (Can.) meal per diem per day ($100.00 maximum). (SUSPENDED)

Training
 Maximum of $60.00 per athlete (i.e. $480.00) for training expenses;
 Maximum coaching honorarium of $40.00 each for two (2) coaches(i.e. $400.00 total).

All members of the youth provincial team are required to work a minimum of one (1) bingo fund-raising event.

SENIOR PROVINCIAL TEAM PROGRAM
Travel
 Maximum of 10 athletes @ the cost of lowest available airfare up to a maximum of $200.00 (CAD) each;
 Athletes will have their tournament registration fee paid, up to a maximum of $200.00 (CAD) each;
 If an athlete or manager chooses to drive to the event instead of flying, he/she will receive the equivalent of the lowest available airfare “to cover fuel and meals on the road expenses” up to maximum of $300.00.
 If both the men and women are competing at the same tournament site, then all the team manager’s air travel, administration, accommodation will be covered by MTF. (SUSPENDED)
 Meal expenses up to $25.00 (US) per day will be provided for one (1) Team Manager ($100.00 maximum). (SUSPENDED)
 An information sheet shall be distributed to all Team Members (see Appendix CB).
 Athletes will receive one (1) MTF Awards Banquet ticket for their personal use.

Training
 Maximum of $60.00 per athlete (ie. $600.00)
 Maximum honorarium for one coach will be $200.00 (5 sessions of $40.00).

Manitoba Tenpin Federation

CTF Scratch Provincial Team Program

The MTF will again be implementing our CTF Provincial program

to assist the members of the Manitoba contingent competing in

the 2011 CTF National Championships.

Training* Three training sessions of up to 10 games per session

will be arranged and overseen by a fully certified Level III NCCP

coach (Dates to be announced).

Travel* Financial assistance will be awarded to the top two

Manitoba qualifiers in the tournament as detailed below.

Recipients of this financial assistance must submit receipts for

applicable travel expenses.

Uniform* A team bowling shirt subsidy is also available. MTF

will cover $20.00 of the shirt cost, per person; the balance will

be the responsibility of the bowler.

*There are rural assistance options available for those athletes

living outside of Winnipeg. Contact MTF for further details.

1^st Top MB. Qualifier $300.00

2011 CTF National Championships.

CTF Mixed Provincial Team Program

The MTF has a program available to assist members

of the Manitoba contingent competing in the

2011 CTF Mixed Championships.

Training* Two training sessions will be arranged and
overseen by a coach with a minimum of Level II NCCP certification (Dates to be announced).

Travel* Financial assistance will be awarded to the top  Manitoba All-Events (HDCP)
competitors as detailed  below.  Recipients of this financial assistance must submit receipts for
applicable rural travel, registration, competition and training expenses.

* There are rural assistance options available for

those athletes living outside of Winnipeg.

Manitoba Tenpin Federation currently offers a high performance and sport science seminars to assist any advanced bowler in further developing their skills and better prepare them for provincial, national and/or international competitions.  CTF National Team and help any Manitoba bowlers wishing to further develop their skills.

Seminars

These seminars will be held on a demand basis. These seminars are open to all bowlers and coaches. All seminars will be advertised in bowling centers one month in advance. Space is limited and will be allocated on a first-come basis.

Registration is $5.00 – $10.00 per seminar dependent on the type of clinic.

The Manitoba Tenpin Federation has visual and literary resources on tenpin bowling development and training. These resources are available to our certified N.C.C.P. coaches free of charge (a safety deposit may be required).

These clinics are designed to address the experience and ability level of the participants, from beginners to regular league bowlers. Clinics are offered for both youth and adult bowlers on a “demand” basis. Topics include proper ball fitting, targeting, strike and spare-shooting, hand position, stance, all aspects of approach, ball delivery are covered and others, as warranted to address the needs of the individual bowler. Interested bowlers are urged to contact the Manitoba Tenpin Federation for further information.

Basic Bowling Skills Clinic

THE MANITOBA TENPIN FEDERATION IS OFFERING BASIC BOWLING SKILLS TRAINING CLINICS FOR NOVICE BOWLERS.

THE CLINIC IS CONDUCTED BY A N.C.C.P. FULLY CERTIFIED COACH AND WILL ADDRESS BOWLING STANCE, APPROACH, GRIP, RELEASE, EQUIPMENT, ONE-ON-ONE INSTRUCTION, AS WELL AS OTHER COMPONENTS TO IMPROVE YOUR GAME.

TWO TYPES OF CLINICS ARE OFFERED:
- A 2 HOUR CLINIC FOR $10.00 AND
- A 6 HOUR CLINIC FOR $30.00.

A CLINIC CAN BE ORGANIZED FOR A GROUP OF 6 – 12 BOWLERS AND CAN BE HELD AT THE BOWLING CENTRE THAT BEST ACCOMMODATES YOUR GROUP.

BASIC BOWLING SKILLS CLINIC (PDF)

The Manitoba Tenpin Federation provides funding and printing services to assist the provincial and local associations in the hosting of their Tournaments and Provincial/National Championships.
