Norm Heywood has been one of Winnipeg’s finest tenpin competitors over the past thirty-five years averaging over 180 every year with a high of 193. Won High Three Game Series in Senior League twice with 704, and the League High Average seven times. Norm’s High Single is 279 (4 times).
Norm won the silver medal in the Canadian Team Championships in Winnipeg in 1964.
In 1966, he won the gold medal in Doubles with Paul Yoshimasu in Canadian Championships at Thunder Bay. Norm also won a Gold Medal at the Canadian Tenpin Federation Mixed Team Event, in Calgary in 1968.
In 1967, 1973 and 1974, Norm won City Singles Title. Also won the Hal Ross Doubles Tournament twice with Rollie Gosselin.
In 1985, he also won World Cup for Manitoba Provincial Qualifying and finished sixth at the Canadian Finals in Toronto.
