MERITORIOUS SERVICE
Inducted 1993

Gloria became involved in the Sport of Tenpin Bowling in 1964 and by 1968 was elected a Director of the Winnipeg Women's Bowling Association.

She served twenty-three years on this Board, five as a Director, one year as Vice-President and seventeen years as President.

During this time Gloria added a Mixed Tournament to the Annual Ladies Tournament. She also worked closely with the Men's Association and eventually the two groups became involved with Big Brothers and their fund-raising Celebrity Bowling Day.

Gloria enrolled in a Junior Bowling Coaching Program working with the Youth bowlers on the lanes as well as serving on the Junior Bowling Association for over ten years.

In the midst of all this volunteer work Gloria still found time to serve as Secretary for the Nairn Tenpin Mixed League for eight years.
