MERITORIOUS SERVICE
Inducted 1989 (Posthumous)

In the Winnipeg Bowling Association Yearbook for 1964/65, there is a memorial tribute to W.H. (Harry) Zimmerman which aptly describes his dedication and contribution to the sport of Tenpin Bowling.

It is fitting that the Bowling Hall of Fame of Manitoba recognize Harry for his meritorious service.

Secretary-Treasurer, Recreation League for 36 years from 1927-28 to his death in 1963.

Treasurer of the Winnipeg Bowling Association for 21 years from 1942-43 to 1963.

Even in the lean years when the sport had only one house in addition to the clubs, Zimmerman never despaired and showed great optimism for the future.

He organized an Annual High School Tournament in the City of Winnipeg to introduce the sport to new members.

Harry was delegated to assist and was instrumental in the organizing of 5 Pin Bowling in Winnipeg.
