Marilyn, a World-Class athlete began Tenpin Bowling in 1968 in the Brandon Youth Program, and her first competition was a Junior Tournament in Winnipeg.
Marilyn distinguished herself as a top Tenpin competitor in Adult Programs and Competitions.
At the league level she rolled High Single 258, High Three Game Series 657, High Average 184. She won 14 High Average Trophies, 16 High Three Game Scratch Trophies and 12 High Singles Awards. In 1977 she was Brandon City Singles Champion.
Provincial and National Level:

2nd in Canadian Tenpin Federation Provincial and progressed to Nationals in Toronto, placing 7th and a spot on the Canadian Team.
Represented Canada in CTF Zone Championships in Panama City winning two silver medals in Team Events.
First Brandon bowler to win International Medals.
1981
2nd in CTF Provincial Finals and represented Manitoba at Vancouver Nationals.
1988
2nd in CTF Provincial Finals and represented Manitoba at Nationals in Vancouver.
1990
Won Bronze Medal in Manitoba National Classified Team Event.
