Meritorious Service
Wanda Howard became involved with tenpin bowling when her son Catlin started bowling in the Chateau junior program in 1996. On most occasions after his league bowling, Catlin usually wanted to practice some more and time seemed to go faster when she bowled with him rather than just sat and watched him. Cathy Burton was one of his coaches of the Junior program and she approached Wanda and convinced her into joining her league – The 59ers.
In 2003/04, Wanda was one of the founding board members with the newly established WTBA at the suggestion of Rick Schmidt and his wife Linda as their son Michael was moving out of the junior program and they were stepping down from their service with the association. She served as a WTBA Director for two years before coming President in 2006.
